Nine arrested in anti-corruption sting.

A Redbridge police officer is among nine
people to have been arrested following
an anti-corruption investigation
Nine people have been arrested, including a man and woman from Barnet, following an investigation by the Met’s anti-corruption unit.
A police constable, aged 22 and attached to Redbridge borough, was arrested at a residential address in Essex this morning (Tuesday, September 20) on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
A second constable, 32, attached to Met Intelligence, was arrested at a home in London on suspicion of money laundering, fraud, perverting the course of justice and offences under the Computer Misuse Act.
The arrests follow an intelligence led operation by the Met's anti-corruption command. It focused on a number of businesses, including a luxury car hire company,
Detectives received intelligence the company was being used to launder money and to make false insurance claims.
