AYER KEROH: A senior officer with a government department here and who is a 'Datuk', is being remanded for seven days from today to assist in the investigation into a corruption case.

Melaka magistrate's court assistant registrar, Syarina Shaarani @ Tan issued the remand order on the 56-year-old suspect.

The investigation is being conducted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009 for alleged soliciting for bribe..
