CBI conducts raids in north Gujarat over betting scam.
AHMEDABAD: CBI teams have been conducting raids in north Gujarat over the past two-three days in connection with an FIR of bribery made in the Rs2,600 crore cricket betting racket busted last year.
Sources said that after the arrests of Sonu Jalan of Mumbai, J K Arora of Delhi, and Jayesh Thakker of Ahmedabad, CBI has questioned another 15 persons related to cricket betting who are also known to be close to politicians and senior police officials.
"A few more arrests are likely in coming days" said a CBI official.
