DBKL Executive Director With ‘Datuk Seri’ Title Remanded.

PUTRAJAYA: The Magistrates Court today remanded an executive director of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) with ‘ Datuk Seri’ title, to assist investigation into corruption and money laundering involving local authorities.
Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab. Rahman, allowed the appeal of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to remand the 54-year-old officer for seven days up to the 22 August.
The suspect was accompanied by several MACC officers, and was brought to the court yard at 9.30 am, and left at approximately 10.15 am.
He was remanded to assist investigation under Section 17(a) and Section 23 of the MACC Act.
The case is also being investigated under Section 4(1)(b) of the Anti Money Laundering Act..
