‘Datuk Seri’ in DBKL corruption case suspended.

THE high-ranking Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officer arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has been suspended temporarily by DBKL pending investigation.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the officer had been suspended and DBKL would assign another officer to take over the senior officer’s duties temporarily.
“I will leave it to MACC and we will follow their advice.
“Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz has instructed all officers to submit and declare their latest assets.
Tengku Adnan said that all officers were vetted for their performance and promotions would be given accordingly.
“But what they do apart from that, we will not know,” he added.
MACC detained a DBKL executive director, with a “Datuk Seri” title, alongside two other top government officers from Kelantan and Malacca on Aug 15 for allegedly accepting bribes, misuse of power and being involved in money laundering...
